Mission Statement
The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) fosters the art of musical liturgy. The members of NPM serve the Catholic Church in the United States as musicians, clergy, liturgists, and other leaders of prayer.
The Pittsburgh Chapter of NPM is also on Facebook. We have a closed group that any Pittsburgh musician may join. The group name is "Pittsburgh NPM Musicians' Forum." Search for this page on Facebook and request to join. Amanda Plazek Bruce administers this group and once you request to join she will add you to the roster. This group is a great way to quickly stay in touch with area church musicians and a rapid way to find a substitute.
NPM PITTSBURGH PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
FOR 2020
FOR 2020
Please consider joining us on Monday, November 23 at 7:30pm via ZOOM for our 40th Anniversary "Virtual Mini-Retreat." It's a great way to start our Thanksgiving week!
As we approach Thanksgiving 2020, we can all surely say that it has been a year like no other. Our souls surely need an antidote to the turbulence of these days.
With the help of the teachings of Brother David Steindl-Rast, OSB and Dr. Brene Brown, our virtual mini-retreat will reflect on GRATEFULNESS as such an antidote.
We are grateful to Kathy Wray, Spiritual Director & Co-ordinator of Worship at the St. Joseph Spirituality Center in Baden for facilitating this retreat.
Please email music@diopitt.org by Thursday, November 19 if you wish to receive the Zoom link for this retreat.
